Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons to nursery-aged children
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and play
  • Assess and monitor children's progress, identifying areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's development
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to create a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience working with nursery-aged children
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Nursery Teacher

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development principles
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using technology for educational purposes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

The role of Nursery Teacher E16 involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced nursery setting. The teacher will be required to work full-time hours on a contract basis, engaging with children, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis. The environment may be noisy and demanding at times, but the rewarding nature of working with young children makes it a fulfilling role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
