Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Plan and conduct activities to stimulate growth in language, social, and motor skills
  • Monitor and assess children's progress and communicate with parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of child development and early education principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a nursery or early years setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Early Years Education
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience with SEN children

Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a dynamic and sometimes noisy environment. The teacher may need to stand for extended periods and participate in activities that require physical exertion.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
