About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Nursery Teacher to join a local authority maintained nursery that provides early education for children aged 2, 3, and 4 years old. The school has a long-standing history of offering high-quality early years education and has consistently achieved ‘Outstanding’ ratings in its Ofsted inspections.

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a vital role in guiding young children through their learning journey, helping them develop confidence, enthusiasm, and essential skills through play-based activities. You’ll be working within a supportive and collaborative team of qualified staff, all dedicated to nurturing children’s natural curiosity and fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create stimulating and interactive environments that encourage exploration and learning.
  • Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development, as well as early literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Work closely with other early years professionals to maintain high standards of teaching and care.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, regularly updating them on their child’s progress.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of both indoor and outdoor learning spaces.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience in early years education is desirable, but newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.
  • Full-time availability (5 days a week).
  • A passion for early childhood development and education.
