Nursery Assistant – Primary School (Watford)
Start Date: January 2026 • Full-Time Position

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and committed Nursery Assistant to join our warm and welcoming primary school in Watford. This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of a supportive Early Years team where your skills, ideas and enthusiasm will be valued every day.


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care and learning support for children aged 0–5

  • Help create a warm, nurturing and secure environment for children and their families

  • Assist in planning and delivering stimulating, age-appropriate activities

  • Ensure the safety, well-being and inclusion of every child

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of Early Years provision

 

Key Requirements of a Nursery Assistant:

  • Has a genuine passion for working with young children

  • Understands the EYFS framework and early childhood development

  • Is reliable, proactive and an excellent team player

  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
