Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a creative approach to engaging young minds.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning and delivery of creative and educational activities for children.

- Support the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Monitor and record children’s progress and development.

- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.

- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.

- Assist with meal times, nap times, and personal care routines.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of nursery policies and practices.

Qualifications and Skills

- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.

- A genuine passion for working with young children.

- Creative, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to early childhood education.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanor.

- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a childcare setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
