Job Description: As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years old. You will work closely with experienced early years practitioners to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Your role will involve supporting children in their learning and development, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the daily care routines of children, including feeding, changing, and napping.
  • Support children in their learning and development through engaging activities and play opportunities.
  • Help to create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and their families.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and welfare of all children.
  • Work as part of a team to plan and implement a stimulating and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
