Job Description: Music Teaching Assistant

Salary: £155-£175 a day

Protocol Education are looking for a Music Teaching Assistant to join the music department.
The school has a deep love of music, students in year 7-9 play an orchestral instrument and have a large uptake to GCSE Music. You would be joining a strong team of classroom and peripatetic music teachers who offer an outstanding curriculum and extensive co-curricular music programme, with students able to access traditional instruments and a music technology suite.
Main Areas of Responsibility
- Playing a full part in the musical life at the school, both curricular and co-curricular
- Supervising and supporting students, in 1:1, group or whole class situations, ensuring their safety and access to learning
- Assisting in evaluating identified students’ progress through agreed assessment activities
- Providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students' achievement, progress, and needs
- Attending to students’ personal needs where required, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first aid and welfare matters.
- Supporting with behavioural management, using appropriate strategies in line with the academy policy.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
