Protocol Education are seeking a Music Teacher/Tutor to join a Primary School in Chigwell. Rated Oustanding by Ofsted!

Job Duties:

The Music Teacher/Tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging music lessons to primary school students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. They will create and implement lesson plans, teach music theory and practical skills, organise school performances, and assess student progress.

Required Qualifications:

  • A recognised teaching qualification
  • Specialist knowledge in music education
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching music in a primary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the national curriculum for music
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Proficiency in playing and teaching a variety of musical instruments
  • Strong classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Experience in organising music events and concerts

Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position in a primary school with an Ofsted outstanding rating. Can be full time or part time and salary depends on experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
