Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets educational standards
  • Assess students' progress and provide feedback
  • Organise and supervise music-related activities and performances
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Specialisation in Music Education or related field

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of music theory and practical application
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in music education
  • Experience in leading music ensembles or choirs

Working Conditions:

This role requires working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The music teacher will be based in a school setting in Basildon, Essex. The environment may involve working with students of varying ages and abilities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
