If you’re passionate about helping students discover their musical talent, this Music Teacher role in Gateshead could be a great opportunity. The school is seeking someone who can deliver practical, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.

What the role involves as a Music Teacher

You’ll teach a mix of practical and theory-based music lessons, supporting pupils with performance, composition and listening skills. The department is supportive and values creativity and pupil confidence.

Your responsibilities as a Music Teacher

  • Teaching classroom Music to KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting pupils with practical work and performance pieces
  • Delivering lessons that enhance listening and composition skills
  • Preparing students for GCSE or BTEC assessments
  • Working collaboratively with the Arts department

What you’ll bring as a Music Teacher

  • QTS with Music teaching experience
  • Confidence leading practical lessons
  • Strong musicianship and communication skills
  • A warm, supportive teaching approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
