What you’ll be doing:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Designing and implementing an inclusive and inspiring music curriculum

  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress

  • Providing constructive feedback to help students reach their musical potential

  • Leading and supporting concerts, performances, and extracurricular music activities

  • Creating a positive classroom culture that encourages creativity and participation

  • Working closely with colleagues to enhance the wider school experience

  • Contributing to school events and the development of the Music department

You’ll need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • A degree in Music or a related subject

  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level (desirable)

  • Strong knowledge of the secondary music curriculum and effective teaching practice

  • Ability to teach and demonstrate a range of musical instruments

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
