Experience/Qualifcations needed:

  • Experience teaching/working with students of SEN is desired, but not essential.
  • Bachelors degree in music.
  • QTS or relevant qualification.
  • Passion, skills and strong knowledge of music of various genres.

You in the role:

  • Strong sense of team work.
  • Exciting and 'out the box' ways of learning with music evident in your lessons.
  • Willingness to add to the ever developing curriculum.
  • Can build good working relationships with the students.
  • Good communication across the department and with parents/carers.
  • Creative & can encourage, creativity, critical thinking and expression of idea.
  • Can plan, develop and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 + KS4.
  • Experience with musical instrument/music technology and display a willingness to use this as a teaching tool.
  • Model good performance practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
