Job Duties:

1. Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students according to the curriculum. 2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to improve their musical abilities. 3. Organise and supervise music-related extracurricular activities and events. 4. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects. 5. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and achievements.

Required Qualifications:

A recognised teaching qualification in Music (QTS or equivalent).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching music to students of varying ages and abilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

1. Strong understanding of music theory and practical music skills. 2. Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for music. 3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Proficiency in using technology to enhance music lessons.

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Music Education or related field.

Working Conditions:

Regular working hours, some flexibility required for extracurricular activities and events. Classroom and music studio environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
