Movement & Mindset Coach
Location: South Shields
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: Immediate
Do you believe movement can change more than just muscles — that it can build confidence, focus, and resilience too?
We’re looking for a Movement & Mindset Coach to join a forward-thinking secondary setting in South Shields, supporting young people to thrive through physical activity and positive mindset development.
This role is about so much more than PE — it’s about helping students find balance, motivation, and pride in what their bodies and minds can do. You’ll work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and pupils to create an environment where every learner feels capable, connected, and ready to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Supporting pupils across PE lessons, outdoor activities, and wellbeing sessions
-
Using sport and movement to boost confidence, teamwork, and engagement
-
Delivering small group sessions focused on mindset, motivation, and self-esteem
-
Helping to develop strategies that support focus and emotional regulation in class
-
Encouraging a growth mindset and celebrating progress in all its forms
What we’re looking for:
-
A background in sport, fitness, youth work, or education
-
Experience supporting young people with additional or behavioural needs
-
A positive, proactive approach and natural ability to inspire others
-
Understanding of how physical activity supports emotional wellbeing
-
A calm, encouraging manner and confidence to lead small groups
