We’re supporting a well-established secondary school in the BS6 area of Bristol who are looking for an MFL Teacher to provide short-term cover in the first week after half term. Though this is a short-term placement, beyond this, Protocol Education are partnered with Secondary Schools across Bristol to help them source talented MFL Teachers, and our Teachers find placements within weeks of registering with us.
This is a full-time, one-week placement, ideal for an experienced languages teacher who enjoys stepping into a busy, high-performing school environment and making an immediate impact.
Pay is to your M Scale.

The role
You’ll be providing MFL cover across the week, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining continuity for students following the half-term break.
Responsibilities include:
• Delivering engaging MFL lessons as set by the department
• Creating a calm, purposeful learning environment
• Supporting students with language learning and participation
• Following established behaviour policies and routines
The timetable is full-time for the week, with year groups and language(s) confirmed ahead of the start date.
The ideal candidate
This role would suit someone who:
• Has experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages in UK secondary schools
• Is confident managing classes and maintaining high expectations
• Communicates clearly and builds quick rapport with students
• Is reliable, professional and happy to step in at short notice

What we need to clear you
To get you ready for work, we’ll need:
Passport
2 proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax, P45/60)
CV covering 10 years of work/education, with gaps explained
2 years of references (including recent teaching where possible)
OSPC if you lived overseas for 3 months or more in the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
