The role

We are working with a well-established 11–18 secondary school in Northumberland to recruit a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for supply and long-term opportunities. The role is open to specialists in French, Spanish, German, or a combination, with KS5 teaching available depending on experience and specialism.

The MFL department is well supported and values inclusive, engaging language teaching that builds confidence and cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Teach MFL across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities available)

  • Deliver engaging, communicative language lessons

  • Support pupils of mixed abilities to make progress

  • Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

  • Work collaboratively with the MFL department and wider staff team

The ideal candidate

  • QTS, QTLS, or equivalent UK teaching experience

  • Specialism in French, Spanish, German, or similar

  • Confident classroom management skills

  • Flexible, professional, and reliable

  • Open to supply, long-term, or permanent roles
