We’re working closely with a forward-thinking secondary school in Telford that’s ready to welcome a passionate MFL teacher into its team.
This is a school with high expectations and a genuinely inclusive ethos. Pupils are encouraged to think independently, share ideas with confidence, and grow not just academically, but socially and personally too. Respect, responsibility and resilience sit at the heart of daily life, creating a calm, purposeful environment where learning can really flourish.
Languages play a key role in the school’s wider vision. Lessons go beyond textbooks and exams, helping pupils connect with other cultures and understand the relevance of language in the real world. This role is all about bringing language to life, creating those lightbulb moments, and helping young people see themselves as confident communicators in an increasingly connected world.
You’ll be joining a school where curiosity is encouraged, behaviour is strong, and teachers are trusted to teach creatively and with confidence. From the moment you arrive, there’s a clear sense of community and shared purpose.
Values, safeguarding and curriculum
The school actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. Respect, tolerance and diversity are embedded across the curriculum, with pupils encouraged to express themselves through discussion, debate and consultation.
Provision across RP, PSHCE and SMSC underpins the school’s ethos. Pupils learn about major world faiths and, where possible, visit places of worship during KS3 and KS4. Online safety, extremism awareness and safeguarding are addressed through a structured life programme, ICT lessons, assemblies, tutor time and specialist teaching. Staff are expected to remain vigilant and to follow safeguarding procedures, raising any concerns through designated safeguarding leads.
