Position: MFL Teacher (QTS) – Secondary School
Contract Type: Full-Time (Temporary, Long-Term, or Permanent)
Salary: £120 - £200 per day (depending on experience)

Are you passionate about teaching languages and inspiring cultural curiosity in young learners? Protocol Education is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Newcastle.


About the Role

As an MFL Teacher, you will bring the joy of language learning to life, teaching one or more of the following: French, Spanish, or German. You'll create an engaging and interactive classroom environment, helping students develop confidence and skills in communication while fostering a love for languages and cultures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Teach French, Spanish, German, or other languages across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
  • Encourage students to develop fluency and appreciation for different cultures.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the MFL department.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching MFL at secondary level (KS3/KS4; KS5 is a bonus).
  • Expertise in at least one core language (French, Spanish, or German preferred).
  • Passion for language teaching and inspiring students.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
