This is a flexible, rewarding role where you can support language learning, enjoy strong departmental structures and build classroom experience without needing a teaching qualification or classroom planning responsibility. If you’re confident with languages and communication, this could be a brilliant way into secondary education. You will be a Languages specialist, although may be used across other subject areas of the school, not expected to be a specialist, but to be adaptable and flexible in managing a range of classrooms.

What is the role?
Supervise KS3 and KS4 MFL classes during teacher absence
Support pupils through pre-set language tasks
Maintain a calm and purposeful classroom environment
Encourage focus and positive behaviour
Follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
You’ll work with pre-prepared lesson resources — no planning or teaching new content is required.
