Protocol Education are currently seeking new applicants with backgrounds in the likes of Care, Psychology, CAHMS, Mental Health, etc, to work as a Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant, at one of our using schools in Manchester (United Kingdom).

In this highly rewarding and exciting role, you will be supporting vulnerable children with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, such as Anxiety/Depression/complex learning disabilities, or being identified as having a statement of an educational need or an Educational, health and care plan (EHCP). 

This role is perfect for applicants who are seeking a position working in the likes of Child Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or to be a Educational Psychologist. Our roles are available as soon as you are cleared for work, and are available until the end of the academic year 2024. 

Key requirements

  • Working Monday-Friday (term-time only)
  • Hours of between typically 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Have excellent communication skills 
  • Have a passion for supporting children
  • Ideally be educated to degree level/equivalent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
