Maths Teacher – Full Time – Sunderland

Pay: £120 to £220 per day depending on experience, paid weekly through PAYE

Looking for a role where your maths magic can genuinely change a young person’s path? A specialist SEMH secondary provision in Sunderland is searching for a full-time Maths Teacher who can bring clarity, calm, and steady encouragement to pupils who need a fresh start with learning.

This is a school that champions relationships first and builds confidence step by step. Lessons are small, support is strong, and you’ll have the freedom to teach in a way that meets pupils where they are and helps them move forward.

What you’ll be doing
• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Maths in small, supported classes
• Creating clear, accessible lessons that build confidence
• Working closely with pastoral and behaviour teams
• Using relational and trauma-informed approaches
• Helping pupils reconnect with learning and feel proud of their progress

What we’re looking for
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience with SEMH or a willingness to learn fast
• A calm, grounded teaching style
• Someone who sees potential first and never gives up
• Full-time availability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
