About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our high-performing secondary school in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will inspire students across KS3 and KS4, delivering high-quality lessons that develop problem-solving, logical thinking, and a love of mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging maths lessons to KS3 & KS4 students.

  • Prepare students for GCSE Mathematics examinations, ensuring excellent progress and attainment.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Maths curriculum.

  • Monitor and assess student achievement, providing targeted support and interventions.

  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support student learning.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics.

  • Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering A-Level Mathematics.

  • Evidence of raising attainment at KS4.

  • A commitment to promoting maths-related extracurricular activities (e.g., STEM clubs, maths competitions).
