Are you an inspirational and well-qualified Maths Teacher / Teacher of Maths? Are you currently looking for a new opportunity in a supportive and progressive school? A Leeds based secondary school is looking to recruit a qualified Maths Teacher / Teacher of Maths to enrich the learning and development of their KS3 & KS4 students.

The position is a long-term supply role, working full-time and will include planning and assessment under the guidance of the Head of Department. Other members of the team will also provide support and resources that have already been created. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding Maths lessons at all levels (KS3-KS4).

  • Successfully manage the behaviour of the class following the school’s behaviour policy.

  • Foster positive relationships with students by being a role model and ensure students achieve their full potential.

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Department and the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the school day and that students achieve the best outcomes. 

  • Act as an ambassador for Protocol Education by being punctual and professional at all times.

You should apply for this role if you:

  • Hold QTS / QTLS/ or equivalent with a Maths Specialism (Instructors and Unqualified teachers will be considered)

  • Have strong subject knowledge and are confident at delivering Maths lessons at all levels. 

  • Have a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, ideally teaching Maths or Science. 

  • Are an excellent communicator and have a natural ability to work and build positive rapport with young people.

  • Have good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding guidelines (an up-to-date DBS that is registered on the Update Service is desirable but not essential at this stage).

  • Have the ability to work collaboratively as well as taking ownership of your own workload.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
