Daily Rate: £163–£263

Protocol Education is working with a Newcastle-based secondary school to recruit a Maths Teacher committed to raising attainment and building confidence in numeracy.

The school has a strong focus on consistency, structure and evidence-based teaching strategies. Staff are supported through clear curriculum frameworks, collaborative departmental working and a leadership team that prioritises staff wellbeing and professional development. The school is well connected via public transport, making it accessible from across Newcastle.

Role overview:

  • Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience welcomed but not essential)

  • Delivering clear, well-structured lessons that support learners of all abilities

  • Using assessment data to inform planning and intervention

  • Supporting pupils who lack confidence or have gaps in learning

  • Working collaboratively within a committed and supportive Maths department

We are seeking teachers who:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching Maths in a secondary setting

  • Can explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently

  • Maintain high expectations while offering encouragement and support

  • Are adaptable and confident working in a supply or long-term role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
