Job Title: Maths Teacher – Short-Term Cover - Wakefield

We’re looking for talented Maths Teachers to provide short-term cover across local secondary schools. If you enjoy the variety of stepping into different classrooms, sharing your subject expertise, and keeping pupils engaged without the long-term planning pressure—this role is for you.

You’ll bring the skills and confidence to deliver set lessons, support pupils with their learning, and keep things running smoothly in the teacher’s absence.

What you’ll be doing:

• Delivering pre-prepared maths lessons to secondary pupils

• Managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom environment

• Supporting students with their learning and problem-solving

• Adapting quickly to different school settings

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Strong subject knowledge in mathematics (KS3–KS4 experience ideal)

• Confident classroom presence and behaviour management

• Flexibility and a positive, professional approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
