The successful practitioner must be confident in their subject knowledge and can motivate and enthuse students.

Requirements of a Maths Specialist:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Administration and good organisational skills
- Support the use of ICT equipment
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
