As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside Maths teachers to support learning within lessons, deliver targeted numeracy interventions, and assist pupils who require additional support to access the Maths curriculum
Secondary schools across the North East are recruiting a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils within Mathematics departments at Key Stages 3 and 4. This Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates with a Maths or numeracy-based degree who are considering a future career in teaching or education.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting Maths lessons within the classroom
- Working with small groups or individual pupils on numeracy skills
- Assisting with intervention sessions and catch-up programmes
- Supporting exam preparation and curriculum-based activities
- Working closely with Maths department staff
Requirements:
- A degree with strong Maths or numeracy content
- Experience working with young people is preferred but not essential
- An interest in secondary Maths education or teacher training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
