Maths Graduate – Numeracy Intervention & Classroom Support

Location: Wallsend, North Tyneside
Daily Pay: £90–£110

Protocol Education is recruiting a Maths Graduate to support numeracy development in a secondary school in the Wallsend area.

This role is ideal for graduates who enjoy problem-solving and want to help students build confidence in Maths. The school has a strong focus on closing learning gaps and supporting pupils who may struggle with numeracy. It is easily reached by public transport from across North Tyneside and Newcastle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Delivering targeted numeracy interventions

  • Working with students who lack confidence in Maths

  • Supporting revision and exam preparation sessions

  • Encouraging resilience and positive learning behaviours

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a degree in Maths or a related subject

  • Be confident explaining mathematical concepts clearly

  • Be patient, encouraging and organised

  • Be considering teacher training or an education-based career

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
