A Year 6 Teacher is required for a maternity cover role for a school based in Hemel Hempstead. About your role as a Year 6 Maternity Cover Teacher
As a Year 6 Maternity Cover Teacher, your role will include but is not limited to:
- Delivering a broad and balanced curriculum in line with school policy.
- Teaching from planned objectives, which take account of differentiation to achieve progression in pupil’s learning, setting clear targets for pupils’ learning based on prior attainment.
- Set, mark, and monitor the pupils’ assigned work, including homework.
- Fulfil the school’s and national assessment, recording and reporting system as appropriate.
- Manage, with support, the work of Learning Support Assistants and other helpers in class to enhance children’s learning.
- Take part fully in primary school duties such as supervising playtimes, taking whole school assemblies and class assemblies.

- Hold all necessary qualifications suited to the post.
- Have recent experience of working in the education system.
- Have good interpersonal skills.
- Show good standards of professionalism, being well-organised and capable of working to policy and procedure to agreed timescales.
