SEN Learning Support Assistant (1:1)

Location: Maldon, Essex
Role Type: Full-Time / Long-Term (Term Time)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work 1:1 with a pupil in a primary school in Maldon.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference to a child’s educational experience.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 support tailored to the individual needs of the pupil

  • Support learning, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

  • Implement strategies set by the class teacher and SENCO

  • Assist with personal, social, and behavioural development

  • Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals

We Are Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, physical or learning needs)

  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

  • Reliability, commitment, and professionalism

  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Compliance Essentials

To be considered, candidates must have:

  • Two professional references

  • Enhanced DBS (sighted or on the Update Service)

  • Right to Work in the UK
