1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Colchester

We are looking for a patient, kind, and caring Learning Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with high additional needs in a welcoming primary school in Colchester.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with complex needs, who understands the importance of consistency, emotional regulation, and building strong, trusting relationships. You will support the child both academically and emotionally, using calm reassurance, clear routines, and positive behaviour strategies.
The ideal candidate will:

Have experience working with children with high or complex SEN needs

Be patient, nurturing, and confident supporting behaviour and emotional regulation

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to support individual learning plans

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
