(Full time, Permanent, 9:00am-5pm) Monday to Friday)

About the role:

An ‘Good’ Primary School in the Derby area are looking to recruit a Level 3 EYFS Practitioner for a September start. This is a full time, and long-term post for the entire academic year.

The candidate will

  • Build positive and caring relationships with children and be responsible for their well-being, welfare, and development in the nursery
  • Have a good working knowledge of the EYFS and be confident to engage in high quality interactions with children in your care
  • Operate within the key person system and liaise with parents, carers, and senior staff.

What will you be doing as a Nursery Teaching Assistant?

  • Working across the Nursery (3-5-year-olds)
  • Carrying out Phonics, Spelling, Reading & Writing Sessions
  • Supporting mild Special Educational Needs

The school are looking for any of the following within the appointed Nursery:

  • Level 3 Health & Social care Qualification
  • Degree from a reputable University
  • Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum
  • Bubbly and energetic personality
  • Must be able to work in a large team

To be eligible for this role:

  •  You must have a valid in date DBS 
  •  Right to work in the UK
  •  Relevant experience supporting children including youth workers, support workers or tutors will be taken into consideration
  •  Be able to provide two professional or relevant educational references within the last three years.
