Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Wolverhampton
Job Type: Supply Teaching
Industry: Primary SEN Support
Reference: 311023503
Salary: £95 - 100 per day
Job Published: about 5 hours ago

rotocol Education is proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton that has a dedicated SEND hub at the heart of its provision.

This is a school that truly understands inclusion. The SEND hub offers a nurturing, structured environment for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Expectations are high, but so is the care. Every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress.

The role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant -  SEND Hub

We’re looking for a confident and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join the SEND hub team.

You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH, and communication difficulties. Some children may access the hub full-time, others transition between the hub and mainstream classes. Your role will be to provide consistency, structure, and encouragement throughout their school day.

Small wins matter here. Whether it’s a child regulating independently for the first time, joining in group work, or completing a task with confidence, your support will make those moments happen.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis within the SEND hub
• Delivering targeted interventions planned by the SENCO and class teachers
• Using positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Supporting pupils with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Encouraging communication, independence, and emotional regulation
• Working closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals

The SEND hub is well-resourced, thoughtfully structured, and supported by a passionate SENCO and leadership team who genuinely value their support staff.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Has experience working with children with SEND in a primary setting
• Is calm, patient, and consistent, especially during challenging moments
• Understands the importance of routine, structure, and clear boundaries
• Builds positive, trusting relationships with children and families
• Wants to make a real difference every single day

This role would suit an experienced TA, SEND practitioner, or someone looking to grow their career within specialist support.
