Job Duties:

  • Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities in a primary school setting.
  • Monitoring individual pupils' progress and reporting on their needs, achievements, and concerns.
  • Assisting in pupil supervision and managing pupil behaviour within the school environment.
  • Undertaking classroom administrative tasks, including record-keeping and maintaining documentation.
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary to support the educational development of pupils.

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Proficiency in safeguarding practises

Education:

  • Completion of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within an educational environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in relevant areas of education and child development

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with regular school hours
  • Work primarily within a classroom environment
  • Potential interaction with children, parents, and external stakeholders

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
