Protocol Education are working with a high-achieving secondary school in Birmingham to recruit a Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated support team.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Key responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small group support across KS3 and KS4 in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science

Assist teachers in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

Support students with SEN or additional needs, adapting learning where required

Help track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents

Promote confidence, independence, and resilience in pupils

Contribute to school life through clubs, mentoring, or enrichment sessions
You’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
About You
We’d love to hear from you if you have:

A CACHE Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience supporting students in a secondary school or youth setting

Confidence managing behaviour and encouraging positive engagement

A calm, approachable, and empathetic nature

The ability to build strong relationships with young people and staff

A passion for education, inclusion, and supporting pupil wellbeing
