Job Title: Level 2 Nursery Nurse

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the day-to-day care and supervision of children in the nursery
  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children
  • Observe and record children's development and progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for the children

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a nursery setting
  • Understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in Childcare
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily indoors in a nursery setting
  • May involve standing for extended periods and lifting children or equipment
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Temporary position with the potential for permanent placement
