The Role for a Learning Support Teacher

You’ll support children and young people with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and daily routines. This guaranteed work agreement offers security, flexibility, and the chance to build real consistency with local schools.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Learning Support Teacher

  • Supporting pupils with a variety of SEND needs
  • Helping teachers deliver engaging, inclusive lessons
  • Providing one-to-one or small-group support
  • Creating a calm, positive classroom environment
  • Working closely with teachers, TAs, therapists, and wider staff

What You’ll Bring as a Learning Support Teacher

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • Confidence supporting personal care and daily routines
  • A patient, nurturing approach
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification is welcome, not essential
  • A background in Health and Social Care is a bonus
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
