Job Title: Learning Support Mentor

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work full-time hours, supporting students in their educational journey. This role offers a salary of £89 - £100 per day.

Job Duties:

  • Provide academic and emotional support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Develop individualised learning plans in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Assist students in understanding and completing coursework.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • Help students develop study skills and organisational strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.

Education:

A degree or certification in education, psychology, or a related field is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with learning difficulties or disabilities.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of various learning needs and strategies to support them.
  • Knowledge of educational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to create and implement individualised learning plans.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in special education or learning support.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.

Working Conditions:

The role of Learning Support Mentor requires working during school hours and collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals. The work environment may involve supporting students in various educational settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
