Protocol Education is working closely with friendly primary schools across South Bristol to find caring, reliable and flexible Learning Support Staff who love supporting younger learners in their early school years.

This includes Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, SEND support staff and intervention specialists who enjoy making a difference beyond the front of the classroom, especially through patience, encouragement and consistency. At Protocol Education, we pride ourselves on matching support staff to both short- and long-term roles that suit their experience and availability.

You’ll be supporting children mainly across KS1, with some EYFS and KS2 where needed, working one-to-one or in small groups. Your role will focus on helping pupils feel safe, confident and settled in school, supporting early reading, phonics, number work and classroom routines, while encouraging positive behaviour and a love of learning.

You’ll be joining schools with warm, inclusive cultures where kindness, teamwork and staff wellbeing genuinely matter.

If you’re someone who finds real reward in helping young children overcome early barriers to learning and grow in confidence day by day, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
