Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist MLD school based on its main site in Brentwood, supporting pupils across Primary, Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The school provides a structured, nurturing environment for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and associated needs. Staff work closely together to deliver tailored support that helps pupils access learning, build independence, and develop confidence both academically and socially.

As an LSA, you will support pupils in the classroom, either one-to-one or in small groups, assisting the class teacher with learning activities and helping students to remain engaged and supported throughout the school day. A patient, positive, and encouraging approach is essential.

Previous experience working with SEND is welcomed but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided. This role would suit someone with experience or interest in education, care, youth work, or support roles, or someone looking to begin a career in SEND.

This is a full-time, long-term position
Monday to Friday | School hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
