Role Overview: Eastbourne School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a young boy in Year 2 who presents with severe learning difficulties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support, understanding triggers, and building a positive rapport with the student.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one support to a student with severe learning difficulties in Year 2.
  2. Understand and manage triggers, especially in situations where the student may exhibit violent behavior.
  3. Build and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the student to facilitate a conducive learning environment.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, particularly with students exhibiting challenging behavior.
  2. Ability to understand and manage triggers for violent behavior.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with the student.
  4. Commitment to the role until the end of the school year.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant educational qualifications and/or experience in a related field.

Contract Details:

  • Temporary position until the end of the school year.
