Position: Learning Support Assistant

Contract: Temporary (Until End of School Year)
Year Group: Year 2
Role Overview: Eastbourne School is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work closely with a young boy in Year 2 who presents with severe learning difficulties. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing support, understanding triggers, and building a positive rapport with the student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to a student with severe learning difficulties in Year 2.
- Understand and manage triggers, especially in situations where the student may exhibit violent behavior.
- Build and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with the student to facilitate a conducive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, particularly with students exhibiting challenging behavior.
- Ability to understand and manage triggers for violent behavior.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with the student.
- Commitment to the role until the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Relevant educational qualifications and/or experience in a related field.
Contract Details:
- Temporary position until the end of the school year.
