We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils who have profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and severe learning difficulties (SLD). The successful candidate will provide support to these pupils in accessing the curriculum and developing their communication, social, and independence skills.


  • Work with pupils both in and out of the classroom, providing support with personal care, mobility, and communication needs.
  • Assist in planning and delivering individual learning programs, following the guidance of the class teacher and other professionals.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.


  • Experience of working with pupils with PMLD and SLD in a school or care setting.
  • A good understanding of communication methods used with non-verbal pupils.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
