Protocol Education are recruiting a 1:1 Pastoral and Learning Support Assistant. 

This role would have a working pattern of 34.5 hours per week, Term Time only (8.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 3.30pm Friday with 30 minute unpaid break.)

This is a special school for 70 students aged 10 to 16 with social, emotional, and mental health as their primary identified need.

The school offers a curriculum that covers academic and practical subjects allowing all students to find their talents and strengths whilst focusing on the skills they need to build better futures. The bespoke approach to learning means students grow in self-confidence and are prepared to take their next steps in their lives after school.

We are looking to recruit 1:1 Pastoral and Learning Support Assistants to support students both within and outside the classroom either within a teaching group or on a 1:1 basis. It is desirable, but not essential, that you have experience of working with students with SEMH and associated complex learning difficulties, but we also welcome applications from inexperienced candidates and will provide thorough training for all new colleagues.

 The school is committed to CPD across its staff teams. Applicants must have their own transport due to the rural location of the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
