Protocol Education are currently working with a local Secondary School in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE2) who are seeking passionate people to work as a Part-time Learning Support Assistant. The school has been awarded as the North Easts Independent Secondary School of the Year 2023 for academic performance. It seeks to be a centre of excellence in the north east, enthusing young people to achieve highly and to make a good contribution to their local community. 

The role will consist of working with and supporting children with Special Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing 1:1 and group in-class support. Some children may display challenging behaviours. You will be responsible for encouraging the children academically and supporting them with their targets. Experience is not needed for this role. 

You must be available to work Monday- Wednesday (Part-time) 8:30am- 4:00pm and will need an Enhanced DBS/ be willing to obtain one. You must live in Newcastle upon Tyne (United Kingdom).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
