About the role:
Protocol Education is recruiting a Learning support assistant to be located within a secondary school in the Newcastle area. This position would be on a short-term bases and would require you to support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). You will be required to support children on a one-to-one or small group bases. Successful candidates will need to provide positive encouragement for the children and engage them within activities.
The school is very passionate about equipping their children to make a positive impact on the wider community. They have also achieved good within their most recent Ofsted inspection. The school is located close to the Coast Road (A1058) and offers a staff car park for those who drive. There is good public transport links to the school with bus stops located outside the school grounds.
Desirable:
- Experience working in SEN setting.
- Experience helping SEN children and willingness to aid with student’s personal care.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable supporting students on a one-to-one or small group bases.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- References which cover your last two years of employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
