Learning Support Assistant – North Newcastle
£90–£110 per day | Full-time | Ongoing role

We’re looking for a caring and confident Learning Support Assistant to join a large, welcoming secondary school in North Newcastle. You’ll be part of a supportive team who believe every student deserves the chance to shine — and you’ll play a key role in making that happen.
The Role
You’ll support students with a range of additional needs, helping them stay engaged, confident, and ready to learn. Whether it’s one-to-one support or small group work, your calm presence and positive attitude will make all the difference.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 in class and during interventions

Helping learners build confidence, independence, and social skills

Working closely with teachers and the SEN team to deliver tailored support

Encouraging a positive and inclusive classroom environment
What We’re Looking For

Experience supporting young people (in schools, youth work, or similar)

A patient, proactive, and compassionate approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
(Bonus) Experience with SEND, SEMH, or autism support
