Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Mental Health & Hospital Education Setting

About the Setting:
This specialist provision supports children and young people accessing mental health services. Staff provide a nurturing, holistic, and highly personalised education that helps pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with learning.
The Role:
We’re seeking a compassionate, calm, and resilient LSA to support pupils with a wide range of emotional, medical, and mental health needs.
Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and small-group support

Help pupils manage anxiety, emotional regulation, and re-engagement

Adapt learning materials and activities
-
Build safe, trusting relationships
-
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and medical staff
Ideal Candidate:

Experience with SEND or vulnerable young people
-
Calm, patient, and emotionally aware
-
Able to respond sensitively to pupils’ wellbeing needs
-
Passionate about making a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
