The role

We are supporting a large, inclusive secondary school with a strong reputation for student support to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA). The role involves a mix of 1:1 support and in-class assistance, working closely with teachers and the SEND team to help students access learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion, SEN support, or progressing into education or pastoral careers.

£90 – £110 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key responsibilities

  • Support students with SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Assist teachers in the classroom to maintain engagement and progress

  • Support behaviour, emotional regulation, and confidence

  • Track progress and feedback to teaching and SEN staff

The ideal candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, tutoring, etc.)

  • Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach

  • Confident supporting a range of needs including SEN and SEMH

  • Willing to learn and work as part of a wider team

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
