As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work alongside teachers and SEN staff to provide targeted support during lessons and interventions, either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
Secondary schools in Sunderland are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with additional learning needs across Key Stages 3 and 4. This Learning Support Assistant (LSA) role focuses on helping students access learning within mainstream secondary classrooms.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs within lessons
- Delivering small-group or individual interventions
- Assisting with agreed support strategies and learning plans
- Working closely with teaching and SEND teams
Requirements:
- Experience supporting children or young people is preferred but not essential
- An interest in SEND, inclusion, or secondary education
- Willingness to follow guidance and school procedures
