Learning Support Assistant – Immediate Start (Hexham Area)

£95–£115 per dayFull-time, Ongoing Role

Looking to make a real difference every day? We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a friendly and supportive middle school in the Hexham area, starting immediately.

You’ll be working across Key Stages 2 and 3, supporting students with a range of needs to help them stay engaged, confident, and ready to learn. It’s a role where patience, positivity, and good humour go a long way — and where your impact will be felt from day one.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups within the classroom

  • Helping to create a calm, inclusive learning environment

  • Working closely with teachers and the SEND team to tailor support

  • Encouraging independence and celebrating small wins every day


What you’ll need

  • An active DBS on the Update Service – this allows us to carry out safeguarding checks instantly, ensuring you can start work without delay.
    (If your DBS isn’t yet on the Update Service, we can guide you through the simple registration process.)

  • Previous experience supporting children in school or youth settings

  • A calm, compassionate approach and great communication skills
